DRIVER ALERT. Crews are installing a traffic signal at the intersection of 64th Avenue and Ahtanum Road Tuesday and traffic restrictions will be in place.
City officials say traffic through the intersection will be limited to one lane from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. each day. The project is expected to take about 45 days. A news release from the city says "the traffic signal is funded with $500,000 from the federal Congestion Mitigation and Air Quality (CMAQ) Improvement Program. The project includes new sidewalks, curb, gutter, storm drainage, crosswalks and ramps compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act."

Flaggers will be on site to assist motorists during the project work hours

Because of heavy traffic volume, drivers can expect delays in the project area.  Drivers should use alternate routes if possible until the work is completed.
