Selah Hosts Paddle Battle Pickleball Tournament

Washington’s (and the rest of the country’s) fastest-growing sport is a pretty big deal in Selah. So big a deal that it can lift up the entire city... with your help! Grab your paddle and prepare to battle for a good cause with the 2026 Selah Paddle Battle Pickleball Tournament fundraiser! We’ve got all the details below.

What Do You Know About Pickleball?

I knew that Pickleball was rapidly increasing in popularity all over the United States. I did know that this fun sport was invented in Washington state. (I wrote all about it, which you can read here). I did NOT know that you can actually get points for hitting your opponent with the ball!

After all the years I tried my best to hit my opponents while playing table tennis, golf, or baseball, only to be fouled or frowned upon, now with Pickleball, my effort can finally be rewarded (as long as it’s not below the wrist of their paddle hand… if that occurs, the ball is still considered in play).

Selah’s 2nd Annual Pickleball Tournament Details

Get ready to get pickled at Carlon Park (300 E Goodlander Rd in Selah) on Friday, June 26th at 6 pm and Saturday, June 27th at 1 pm!

“Get ready to serve, volley, and smash your way to victory in the most exciting Pickleball tournament of the year!” – Selah Downtown Association.
