Summer Vacation Time (SVT) is right around the corner and I, for one, am dying to get the heck out of the Yakima Valley and go travel somewhere fun! It seems as though I am not alone in my need for a quick getaway because according to Google Trends, the Yakima Valley is already on the hunt for taking some time off! There are seven things Yakima Valley wants to know about traveling to Las Vegas. Residents in Sunnyside, Yakima, Gleed, Highland, Selah, Summitview, and Naches are the amongst the cities searching the most for traveling to Las Vegas.

Perhaps you are one of them, I know that I sure am! The other night, I had a strong desire to estimate how much money I need to save to head to Las Vegas for a few days before my daughter's summer vacation is over. Personally, I want to stay at Paris Resort and Casino, Somewhere on Fremont, Excalibur, or someplace fancy like the Bellagio or the Wynn, or the Hard Rock!

Let's see what are some of the top Las Vegas searches popping up within the past few months.

1.
Las Vegas Resorts and Hotels

Yakima Valley is really interested in searching for deals at the Cosmopolitan, Flamingo, Golden Nugget, and the Flamingo, so if you stay at one of these hotels, you just might run into somebody you know from town!

2.
Hell's Kitchen Las Vegas

My daughter, Willow, is only 11 years old and even she has been talking about wanting to go to Las Vegas to see Gordon Ramsay's restaurant, Hell's Kitchen. You can find it in the Caesar's Palace Resort and Casino, open 11 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. daily. Lunch is open daily until 3 p.m. so if your flight gets in a little after noon, you can still stop by Hell's Kitchen for a treat.

3.
Las Vegas Shows

A trip to Vegas should include taking in some fabulous shows that you can't see anywhere else. Popular shows in Vegas include the Blue Man Group (shout out to Tobias Funke), Jousting at Excalibur Casino, Cirque du Soleil, Drag Brunches (Treasure Island), RuPaul's Drag Race Live, Jabbawockeez, Puppetry of the Penis, magicians like Shin Lim, Criss Angel, and David Copperfield, and Magic Mike (Sahara Las Vegas). Music and shows abound in Vegas like, Carrie Underwood and comedians like Carrot Top, and so many more I can't list them all here! I personally want to see the Sex and the City Musical (Alexis Park All Suite Resort) and some burlesque shows all over town!

4.
Flights to Las Vegas from Pasco, WA

The Tri-Cities airport in Pasco has a lot more airlines than I knew about! I counted several here including the newest airline, Avelo, plus Delta, Alaska, United, Aha, and Allegiant. Allegiant is the only airline that flies directly to Las Vegas, although Aha Airlines flies to Reno.

5.
Best Pools in Vegas

I personally want to know where the best pools are in Las Vegas. Vegas.com has put several of the best Vegas pools in a handy list for us here!

6.
Las Vegas Raiders

One of the newest NFL teams is the Las Vegas Raiders (RIP Oakland Raiders lol) and they had a great 2021 season. Tons of people living in the Yakima Valley have been searching for tickets to the games, especially with the latest news that former San Franciso 49er, Colin Kaepernick, might be joining the team.

7.
Las Vegas Buffets

This website, Las Vegas Then and Now, created a list for the best cheapest buffets in Vegas and this link gives you an idea of the most expensive buffets in Vegas.
