Spring-Like Sunshine and 50s All Week. Snow in Yakima on Sunday?
We know one thing for sure: no matter what a groundhog says on February 1st, Spring will arrive on March 20th and roll into Summer on June 21st.
Even though we're enjoying the sunshine and mid to upper 50s this week, the forecast is calling for, at least a chance, of snow this weekend.
Will it Snow in Yakima This Weekend?
Well, if it does snow, it doesn't appear that it's likely to amount to much. Currently, the National Weather Service forecast for the Yakima Valley calls for partly to mostly sunny skies on Friday and Saturday with high temperatures in the low to mid-50s and relatively calm winds. The chance for precipitation, estimated at 30%, comes on Saturday night, and the snow level on Sunday is predicted to be at around 1200 feet. So, if snow were falling, we could see some in Yakima's points of higher ground.
