"Aviation Speed Emphasis."

Those three words should make it easier for you to set cruise control to 70 and relax a bit.

Washington State Patrol announced more patrols will be out looking for speeders after a week of clamping down on passing lane campers. Members of the Commercial Vehicle Division, the Serious Highway Crime Apprehension Team, and the Domestic Highway Enforcement team will be working the roadways.

Aside from more white patrol cars, troopers will apparently be flying above you, too.

WSP troopers in the Aviation Division will be along I-90 from Issaquah to the Idaho state line and State Route 2 near Stevens Pass, so there is a good chance for you to get nailed this weekend in those spots should you try and speed.

According to the Washington Traffic Safety Commission, in 2016 there were 537 traffic-related deaths, with more than 28% of those a result of high speeds.
