Tuesday is the day the Yakima City Council will begin the official search for a new city manager.

Last week the council voted 5-2 to remove current City Manager Bob Harrison which is set to leave on February 2.

The council voted 5-2 to remove Harrison who will serve in the role until February 2. He's agreed to help a smooth transition to a new manager.

Scott Bailey has also been placed on administrative leave as an investigation is underway into alleged misconduct.
