China is buying U.S. rice for the first time. Customs officials have cleared American rice for import, but it's not clear how much China will buy.

Hoping it will somehow help the Green Bay Packers' chances against the Seattle Seahawks in Sunday's NFC championship at CenturyLink Field in Seattle, a Wisconsin classic-rock radio station is banning any Seattle- or Washington-based bands until after the game. WTF? This is the craziest thing I have ever heard.

A shooting at a Sikh temple near Milwaukee left  seven dead on Sunday, including the gunman. According to police reports, a gunman arrived outside the temple at around 10 AM and shot and killed two people. Afterward,  the shooter walked inside the temple and fatally shot four others.
