Hoping it will somehow help the Green Bay Packers' chances against the Seattle Seahawks in Sunday's NFC championship at CenturyLink Field in Seattle, a Wisconsin classic-rock radio station is banning any Seattle- or Washington-based bands until after the game.

WTF? This is the craziest thing I have ever heard. But yup, you heard right.

Milwaukee's WLWK (which, coincidentally, is also 94.5 FM) is choosing not to play any bands that have made their marks in the Seattle area. Well, I guess that is their problem.

They'll be depriving their listeners of bands like Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, Foo Fighters, Alice In Chains, etc. (Apparently, they've come to "snuff the rooster?" as the old song says.)

And what'll be left? The Violent Femmes? Really?

If we compared the two places on music alone, we would crush them -- as we are going to in the championship game.

That's why KATS is calling up WLWK "The Lake" on Thursday to see what they have to say for themselves. Listen in (on OUR 94.5) and find out what happens.

Whatever they say, I doubt that this stunt will help them Sunday.
