He's known as the "the unofficial mayor of Downtown Yakima" but today he's the official winner of the Greater Yakima Chamber of Commerce Ted Robertson Community Service Award. Joe Mann is the owner of Ron's Coin and Collectibles in Downtown Yakima as well as a property owner.

MANN WAS NAMED BECAUSE HE'S INVOLVED IN A LOT OF STUFF IN YAKIMA

Chamber officials say Mann was chosen because of "his active participation in the business community of the city he loves. Joe was born and raised in Yakima. He attended Saint Joe’s Catholic School and Carrol High School. Joe was the driving force of the 2015 run and win of the All America City Designation for Yakima."

OFFICIALS SAY MANN IS COMMITTED TO IMPROVING YAKIMA

They say those who are chosen for the award are selected by Board Presidents/Chairs of the Chamber for their “inspiring leadership, achievements and commitment to the improvement of our community as business people and citizens of the Yakima Valley.”
While Mann is a local property and business owner he still finds lots of time to commit to the community. Mann has served on boards for; the Greater Yakima Chamber of Commerce, Downtown Association of Yakima, Downtown Yakima Business Improvement District, and the Sunfair Parade Committee. He’s also held a seat on over 25 committees as well as provided leadership to many local organizations.

MANN WILL BE HONORED IN NOVEMBER

Joe Mann will receive the Ted Robertson Community Service Award recipient November 4th, 2021 during the Annual Chamber and Ted Robertson Community Service Awards celebration at the Yakima Convention Center.
