You might not have known about this, but today at Highland, the Yakima Valley Music Educators Association held its middle school orchestra and band competition.

Competition meant performances from 19 area orchestras and bands including those from Lewis and Clark Middle School. Tammi Beam, leader of both band and orchestra emailed her colleagues reporting that her career dream had come true: The students were absolutely perfect, scoring a 1+ (more than Superior) for both band and orchestra.

To top that off, even more was that both scorecards read 100 percent.

"There wasn't one tiny thing they could have done better. They were PERFECT!" Beam said.

The students arrived back to the school to great fanfare plus a pizza and pop party. This is the first perfect 100/100 in contest history.
