Todd E. Lyons, Esquire Blog: I Toss the First Apple at Pippins Game

Last night I had the honor of representing 94.5 KATS to throw out the ceremonial first pitch before the Yakima Valley Pippins game at "The Orchard" at Yakima County Stadium on the grounds of State Fair Park.

The Pippins (which is an apple variety) have begun a tradition by replacing the baseball with an actual apple.

I was joined on the mound by my nine year-old son Drew and Pippins mascot Scott T.  While my pitch was a bit high, it was over the plate and, more importantly, the hometown nine went on to win the contest by a score of 6-1.
