Todd’s Take: Help Me Help My Dad Help American Legion Post #36

Recently, my dad, Don Lyons, was diagnosed with cancer. Just this past week he had his first round of chemotherapy. Often times, chemo recipients hair falls out so my dad wants to beat it to the punch and, in doing so, raise some funds for the Ladies Auxiliary of American Legion Logan Wheeler Post #36.

Since retiring some 14 years ago from the Burlington Northern Railroad, my pop has grown a pretty sweet ponytail and spends time at the Legion. He's offering to let somebody cut off his hair in exchange for buying $5 raffle ticket.

Tickets can be purchased at Logan Wheeler Post #36 at 1120 N. 34th Ave. Yakima, WA 98902. Feel free to stop by - they're always looking for new members!

They are open weekdays at 10:00 a.m., Saturday at 12:00 noon and Sunday at 8:00 a.m.
