Many people get upset when you start dealing with traditional Christmas activities before Thanksgiving has even happened. While I agree with 99% of those people, one thing we have to keep in mind, is how this year gives us new challenges to face. With the current pandemic, many events and activities need extra time to get it the job done, and done right. One of them is the annual Toys For Tots Bike Run.

Unfortunately, the annual motorcycle rallies held to help gather toys for distribution at Christmas time were forced to be canceled. Instead, they are holding Toy Drop 2020! The event will be taking place this Sunday, November 8th, from 11am till 1:30pm at the Yakima Cinema, 1305 N. 16th Ave in Yakima. Lisa Sargent, one of the many people working the event reached out to us:

"Due to Covid-19, we could not have motorcycle rides to collect toys this year. Typically there is 2 different rides. The groups got together and planned this one big event to benefit the Salvation Army, Toys for Tots and YWCA."  - Lisa Sargent

Ride or drive to drop off your new unwrapped toy or cash donation for kids, teens or moms! You don't even have to get out of your car, as the event will be set up like a drive through, allowing people to safely social distance while helping out for the holidays! A big thanks to Owens Cycle, FACT Safety, American Legion, HOG Motorcycle Club, Pepsi, Yakima Theatres and benefiting Toys For Tots, YWCA & The Salvation Army.
