Trump Tells VP Pence to Stop Calling “Unappreciative” Inslee
Reportedly, President Trump has told Vice President Mike Pence to cease reaching out to those whom he deemed "unappreciative" of his administration's handling of the COVID-19 pandemic, singling out Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer and, multiple times, Washington Governor Jay Inslee. Trump said Pence should not talk to them if they don't "treat you right."
Trump said that Pence “calls all the governors. And I tell him, I’m a different type of person, and I say, ’Mike, don’t call the governor of Washington. you’re wasting your time with him.'”
Even amid a pandemic, grudges die hard.
Over 150 people have died in Washington state since the outbreak began – one of the highest death tolls in the country – and over 3,000 state residents have contracted COVID-19, the disease caused by the novel coronavirus.
