Trying the New Kellogg’s Froot Loops and Krave Nutritional Drinks
I'm a huge fan of breakfast cereal and always have been. I was curious about these new drinks from Carnation under the Carnation Breakfast Essentials series that have 10g of protein, twice the vitamin d of an 8oz glass of milk, 21 vitamins and minerals and as much calcium as a 6oz cup of yogurt. I would've been happy with just cereal-flavored milk but we'll see how these are.
The first one I tried was the Krave flavor. Krave cereal is pretty unique. It's like chocolate-filled puffs. The drink is like a rich chocolate milk with that hint of the cereal as well. It was good, even for me who doesn't necessarily like protein shakes or things like that.
The next one I tried was the Froot Loops flavored drink. I'll be honest, I didn't care for it. Maybe it's because I'm not used to things like protein shakes but it was a unique experience. It tasted like liquid vitamins (which, I think, it basically literally is) but it did have that Froot Loops aftertaste. I wish the entire drink tasted like the after taste as it's like the milk after a bowl of Froot Loops, it just takes getting over that initial vitamin flavor to get there.
There is also a Frosted Flakes flavor that will be released later.
Watch for these in stores soon.
