Washington State Leads Country In UFO Sightings

Fans of the hit TV show "The X-Files" are familiar with the phrases "The truth is out there" and "I want to believe." For those of us in the state of Washington, we now have some evidence to point to UFO sightings as not just tinfoil-hatters going off half-cocked.

July 2 is UFO Awareness Day. Analysts at SatelliteInternet.com used data from the National UFO Reporting Center and the U.S. Census Bureau to find out which states have the most UFO sightings per capita in the nation and Washington state leads the way with 78 reported sightings per every 100,000 people.

It appears that the Northwest is prime UFO territory, as Montana, Alaska, Oregon and Idaho all ranked in the top 11 as well.
