‘My Bad!’ 9 Phrases That Yakima Valley Residents Can’t Stand

We asked our listening audience the question, "What's something people say that's always annoying?"

We got quite a variety of answers, but the main reason I asked was to see if others shared the same annoyance that I've had for many years.

For the record, I've been lucky to have more coworkers that I've liked than disliked. But even the ones that I don't mind can get on my nerves and push my buttons (as with everyone and most things in life). But I found one saying that whenever a coworker would state it, it would just drive me up the wall.

The Annoying Saying That Really Bugs Me

The one saying that I can not stand is a common one. It's sarcastic but also raises questions for me.

"Just another day in paradise."

When someone asks my coworkers the question, 'How are they doing,' and they respond with "Just another day in paradise," it annoys me so much.

Besides annoying me, this phrase also just doesn't make sense to me. I understand the job market can be difficult, but no one is forcing you to work here; you've made your choice, so if you don't like it, find something else.

Also, have you ever been to paradise? It is much better than any workplace.

And if the coworkers that have said it, were truly being sincere, then work on your tone because it bleeds sarcasm.
