Have Any Information About Stolen Firefighting Gear Yakima?
I get stealing a road sign that says something like boner lane...but firefighting gear? What's the plan, are you going to start the fire and then go in to "save" items? Or try and make extra money by selling the items? If you have always dreamed of being a firefighter, there is another route. You know, training to actually become an official one. I hear the pay and benefits are pretty good.
Shout-Out to Firefighters
My Uncle is a retired firefighter and occasionally shares bits and pieces of calls he's gone on. It's an incredibly brave thing to do, running towards the danger while others are attempting to escape it. Saving lives by being the first on the scene and providing medical attention. You are an intricate part of the community and if you haven't heard it lately, you are appreciated so incredibly much.
The Items in Question
That being said, it was a total bummer to come across the Facebook post from the Yakima County Sheriff's Office and Yakima County Fire District #5
In the last week, unknown subject(s) broke into one of the Lower Valley fire stations and stole eleven sets of personal gear. This puts our valley fire fighters in a bind, by not having the proper protection they need for their calls. All the gear says “YCFD 5” on the back.
