If you're a recreational fisherman, you had better sign up now for the 10th Anniversary Banquet for the Coastal Conservation Association's Yakima Chapter.

All of the Yakima area's best fishing guides will be there, not to mention fishing rod designer Gary Loomis.

The banquet is set for Friday, September 29th at 5:00 pm in the Selah Civic Center.

Enjoy a catered barbecue dinner from Goose Pit BBQ, raffles and games, plus the live and silent auctions.

The cost is $65 per single tickets, but you can reserve a table for 10 for $600. All banquet tickets include your CCA Membership for one year.

For those unfamiliar with the organization, the CCA works to advise and educate the public on conservation of marine resources. The objective of CCA is to conserve, promote, and enhance the present and future availability of those coastal resources for the benefit and enjoyment of the general public.

On the Columbia River, that means fighting the use of gill nets, which kill all fish indiscriminately and are a danger to steelhead, sturgeon, and salmon.

Buy your tickets at Oak Creek Ace Hardware in Naches or online at www.ccawashington.org/yakima.
