Father’s Day isn’t for a little while longer, but the Yakima Salvation Army knows that any time to celebrate the Fathers of the Valley is a good time, so they’re holding a ‘Family Night’ dinner and fun where all are invited!

A couple of years ago, my dad went through a rough patch in the health department. One that left the strongest man in my life in the hospital for 10 days and a nursing home/rehabilitation center for around 3 months. I have to say, it was rough, but I'm so happy that he's back on his feet and enjoying life.

Anyone who has gone through a situation like this (whether it was yourself or a family member) knows that it isn’t easy.

Those 3 months were the longest days of my life, but he’s always been there for me, and I was happy and lucky to be able to return the favor. I wish everyone was able to celebrate their dads, or at least the father figures in their lives. For those who can in the Yakima Valley, Yakima’s Salvation Army is inviting you.
