It’s been a jam-packed year for the Yakima Salvation Army, and the year is barely half over! So how about one more summer hurrah before the kids head back to school, and people start buttoning up the summer fun. We have the details below.

Salvation Army Is Busy, Busy, Busy

Between the New Hope Market at 509 North 4th Street in Yakima having its official opening last month, to hosting several family and community events throughout the year, the amazing folks at Yakima Salvation Army have been going non-stop.

A Final Community Summer Nights With Yakima Salvation Army

Families have been enjoying the warmth and fun with the Yakima Salvation Army every Wednesday night throughout this summer, but with school starting up, they are winding down, and doing so in a big way to help get the kiddos ready for school.

Wednesday, July 29th from 5 pm to 6:30 pm, the Salvation Army Yakima Community Center (509 N 4th Street) is holding a FREE “Back To School Night!”.

Not only will there be dinner and fun activities on hand for the community, but the first 200 visitors will receive a free backpack to help you prepare for the school days ahead!

“Join us as we celebrate all the memories and accomplishments from this summer... Whether you went on a family vacation, attended summer camp, learned something new, or simply made special memories with loved ones, we'd love to celebrate with you!”
