Saturday night saw Yakima's born-and-bred Comedy Improv Troupe, Manic Thunder, grace the stage of the Capitol's 4th Street Theatre -- but this wasn't just any regular show. For the group that has been entertaining the Yakima Valley for more than nine years, this past Saturday (Jan. 19) marked a milestone: their 400th show!

Yakima came out and packed the house, forcing the 4th Street to announce, standing room only, max capacity, it's sold out, enjoy the show!

If you have never seen Manic Thunder perform, think of TV's "Whose Line Is It Anyway?" only not owned by Disney. They take audience suggestions and use it to create short-form comedy sketches right off the tops of their heads. Nothing is scripted, nothing is rehearsed. The show is never the same, and will never be repeated.

If you were one of the lucky ones who got in before the show was announced full, you got to see what it would be like if Aquaman, Justin Timberlake, Mike Tyson (with Tourette's), Marilyn Monroe, Chuck Norris and the late Carol Channing all showed up to a craigslist hook-up party. A gold digging lady trying to seduce an elderly gentleman in fast forward and slow motion reverse. A vampire bumming a light for his medical marijuana. The world's worst teacher, therapist, and travel agent. ("Oh, so you're on a budget AND want to go to Palm Springs? Well, have you heard of a place called Yakima?") And of course, we couldn't forget about the dirty Disney Sing-A-Long. The packed house enjoyed plenty of laughs, drinks, food, and prizes, including a variation of "Let's Make a Deal," giving audience participants random prizes running the spectrum from DVDs to a hot dog toaster!

If you missed show 400, don't miss No. 401 at the Capitol Theatre's 4th Street Theatre for Valentine's weekend (Feb. 16).
