This may have happened to you when you are driving somewhere, perhaps to your job in the early morning, and you come across an estate sale sign in somebody's yard. If you are a person who loves to hunt for great bargains, great deals, and discoveries, there are 3 places you can look to find great estate sales in Yakima.

Back in "the olden days", estate sales in Yakima used to be easy to find in the newspaper under the Classified section but in our tech-savvy world of the 2020s, our friend the trusty and reliable newspaper has some stiff competition. Let's take a look at these three places and you can decide which one is best for you. Then I'll share with you what 3 treasures I found at an estate sale on S 30th Ave right off Summitview in Yakima.

3 Places You Can Look to Find Great Estate Sales in Yakima

1.
Driving Around Town Seeing Estate Sale Signs

Call me old school, but I really don't think about going to an estate sale until I see a posted-up sign for one in the neighborhood.

2.

Yakima Craigslist

We all know by now that just about anything can be found on Craigslist, from cars to bunk beds, strollers, clothes, electronics, and even apartments and homes to rent. Add estate sales to that list!

3.

Facebook

Facebook Marketplace is right up there with Craigslist. I have found furniture on FB Marketplace before and so I thought, why not see if there are estate sale listings on there, too? Sure enough, there is an entire category for them. There is even a Facebook group that you can take a look at for even more estate sales suggestions. Dustypuddle Estate Sales is one of the groups I found.

Wherever you live in the Yakima Valley, you can search Craigslist, Facebook Marketplace, and your local neighborhood to help you spot them out.

I found a Coco Chanel collectible perfume bottle, a nearly empty bottle of original Coco Chanel perfume, and a felt hat that looks like it was worn in the 1940s at an estate sale. The perfume bottles were 50 cents each and the hat was $5. They may not be worth much on the resell market but to me, they are priceless.
