Yay, it's summer time which means the kids are looking for some fun things to get into. Why not enroll them in a fun summer camp (or two or three) to keep them busy and entertained?

I previously wrote an article about some art summer camps that I discovered were being offered at Creative Yakima and a few others which you can read here. Today, I did a little more research to see what's out there in Yakima and found a few great options that surprisingly haven't booked up yet as sold out.

The downtown YMCA has something going on with their Summer Camps. They are offering mini-camps for the younger ones ages 6 to 8 years old, who are not used to being away from their parents for days at a time. Some of the camps have a whimsical flair, like the "Treasure Hunters" camp for kids 9 to 14 and "Fairy Tales and Legends" camp for kids ages 7 to 10. There's even a STEM camp for kids ages 9 to 13. Summer Soccer Camp is a-go for Sozo Sports of Central Washington. The camp begins in July and will last for at least a month. If you want your child ages 3 all the way up to 15 years old, then hurry up and register your child because the deadline is coming up this Friday, June 25th. Register them here.

Sozo also offers an ongoing Pickleball Membership for kids but it is kinda pricey! If the steep fee is making you shriek, you can play pickleball for free at Franklin Park on the new Pickleball court! Get more info here.

If you want your child to learn how to play golf, I highly recommend First Tee of Central Washington. Last year, I signed up my daughter, Willow, so that she could pick up the sport. She hated golf, but I would sign her up for it again in a heartbeat! Sign your kid up for First Tee here.
