With most making New Year's resolutions there are also those hopes and dreams for your surroundings in 2023 as well. Though Yakima has no lack of options for dining establishments here's a list of restaurants I'd love to see come to Yakima in the following year.

Let's hope we see these places in Yakima in 2023

Genki Sushi
This a chain of sushi restaurants that feature a conveyor belt. They have one in Renton we sometimes hit up just for the novelty. The food is great, too, but it's just fun to see the items go by and you're welcome to grab anything you want and just pay by the plate.

IHOP
We used to have an IHOP for years until we didn't. I think our closest one is in Ellensburg which is too far away for Yakima. There's no reason we shouldn't have one. Would love to see it in Rainier Square.

Midoh
This is a Japanese restaurant I experienced in Los Angeles. They specialize in Japanese-style curry dishes and other authentic items you don't often see in most Japanese restaurants in the US. I think they're wonderful and would love to have one locally.

Firehouse Subs
Do we really need a new sandwich shop in Yakima? Well, if we did, I'd hope was Firehouse Subs. They have a meatball sub I love. They have a few in Tri-Cities. Certainly they could spare one for us.

Chili's
Yeah, I know we already have other restaurants like this in town, but my kids love it here so, for them, I'd love to see it.
