Let me state for the record, I love being married.

Not only am I stating that because it's true, but because my wife reads the articles I publish.

But, I'd be lying if I didn't admit that there are some parts that miss the single life.

When I was single, I hated it; I was lonely (as I'm sure we can all relate to at some point in our lives).

I wanted companionship, but after being in a great relationship for 13+ years, there are certain things I miss.

Usually, it was the dumb stuff like having a refrigerator with only a handful of things in it.

You know, living on nachos and cereal.

Going out on a whim, no matter the time.

I did not have to worry about whether someone else was happy with the restaurant that was tonight's dinner choice.

Being able to binge an entire TV series in a weekend without any worry if my partner is confused with the 4th season of LOST.

Knowing that the mess in the house was mine (or the pets).

Many of those things I miss could also be attributed to the hustle of life and getting older (and hopefully wiser).

But, no matter what I may miss, I would not trade the great thing I have now for any of it.

That being said, I wish I had this info when I WAS single!

If you're one of the many people who are not in a relationship, whether by choice or just haven't found the 'right one' yet, some places may be better suited for you than others.
