Move over Smokey, fire awareness has a new mascot courtesy of the state of Oregon, Bigfoot! I know, Sasquatch is suppose to be Washington's cryptid avenger, but since the the 2017 attempt to make Sas-safras our "official cryptid" has been held up by red tape, the mythical beast is still fair game.

The "Believe in Fire Safety" campaign was created by Oregon's fire marshal office with the idea that with Bigfoot living in the wilderness, let's help keep it and him safe. The campaign offers Bigfoot-themed graphics to share across social media and all sorts of souvenirs that will be available at fire service agencies throughout the state. Images that shows the star of Harry and the Hendersons, in a wide series of outdoor activities including hiking, fishing and taking care of campfires. "Leave Only Footprints" & "Don't Let Wildfire Be The One That Got Away" are just some of the messages helping to raise fire awareness. Check out th Oregon State Website for all the images to share & believe in.
