If you're not familiar with Ramadan, it's the Islamic month of fasting. From the middle of June to the middle of July, Muslims aren't supposed to eat or drink within an hour of sunrise, and have to wait until an hour after sunset. Normally if they eat or drink during these hours they are required to repeat this day of fasting. However if they accidentally take a drink or eat something without meaning to, then it's said that God wanted to quench their thirst or satiate their hunger.

I've extended this logic to everyday life because if it's good enough for our Islamic brothers it's good enough for us. For instance, I usually drink diet cola ... sometimes, however, I accidentally press the full sugar cola button: Ramadan! Other times, when enjoying the company of my wife I forget to exit the "premises" on time if you know what I mean ... Ramadan.

It's a built-in excuse for whenever you don't mean to do what you do.

You're welcome.
