Happy Birthday to one of my favorite films of all time! Ghostbusters was released on June 8, 1984 and becoming the second-highest-grossing movie of that year! I remember the thrill when my dad took my brother and I to the theater to see it. I've always loved the paranormal and love comedy and this movie had both. Yes, I was only 3 when we saw it, and a lot of jokes went over my head, and yes "the dogs" scared me, but making one of the big bad guys be a giant marshmallow man, was a great way to help me not have bad dreams later on that night. I remember getting in trouble for quoting Bill Murray's character Dr. Peter Venkman's line "yes, this man has no dick." whenever my mom would ask me the question "is this true?"

I loved the movie and the franchise! It spawned so many toys (which yes, I had the action figures and proton pack and trap), squirt guns, video games, posters etc. I was skeptical when they attempted the 2016 reboot, which we all know how that went down. And now I'm over joyed that an official number 3 is in the works with Dan Aykroyd, Bill Murray and Sigourney Weaver all signing on. Plus with the 2009 Ghostbusters: The Video Game getting the remastered treatment later this year, busting makes me feel good! Happy birthday and thank you for all the great times and memories, and many more to come!
