It's been a while since we've heard any new news from the System of a Down camp, or frontman Serj Tankian for that matter, but looks like a certain movie album maybe giving us what we want. The upcoming monster movie Godzilla: King of the Monsters will be dropping in theaters on May 31st and with it comes a mostly instrumental soundtrack with one exception, Serj Tankian singing Blue Oyster Cult's classic "Godzilla". Take a listen below.

Besides tapping Serj to helm the vocals, the other neat thing about this 1977 song, is the fact that this marks the first time the song written about Godzilla destroying Tokyo is actually going to be in a Godzilla movie! The song first was released on Blue Oyster Cult's Spectres album 42 years ago, but has never appeared with the overgrown lizard. If you don't quite remember what the original sounded like, check that out below.

What version would you prefer be in the film? Either way, Go Go Godzilla!
