Will Granger Boys Wrestling Repeat Title Win at State Tournament?

Can you feel the electricity in the air? There is a competition afoot! This morning I received a request for a very special shout-out on-air. The Granger High School Spartan boys wrestling team is headed to the state wrestling tournament in Tacoma!

Hi Sarah just wondering if you can send a shout out to the Granger Spartans boys Wrestling heading to the Tacoma Dome State Wrestling

Done and done! I asked Lydia if she would be so kind to keep me posted so I can spread the news. It's all very exciting as the boys will be returning to defend their 2020 state title at the Washington State Wrestling Tournament.

When Does the Tournament Start?

The WIAA High School State Championship located at the Tacoma Dome begins Friday, February 18th, 2022. Teams from around the state will be competing all day and wrap up with the finals landing on Saturday evening, February 19th, 2022.

It's been two years since the Spartan Granger boys wrestling team worked their way to the state title and since then the mission has been to take all the w's. They placed first in the three tournaments they have been in this year and are ready to continue the streak.

the boys have been working really hard. At Districts and Regionals they took 1st. We came out of Regionals with 8 boys who placed 1st with a total of 10 going to State

My cousin was a state wrestling champ and so I know first hand there's nothing like the energy in the dome once the competition starts. I wish each and every one of you the best of luck and I know the rest of the Valley feels the same way! Go Spartans!
