After a dreadful performance at home against the Giants in Week #14 of the 2020 NFL season, the Seattle Seahawks FINALLY gave the 12s what they have been waiting for all year -- a good, old-fashioned beat down.

The Hawks gave up the first 3 points of the game before scoring 40 unanswered en route to taking the New York Jets to the woodshed by a final score of 40-3.

The win kept the Hawks (9-4) in contention to win the NFC Western Division along with the rival Los Angeles Rams (9-4). The Rams currently hold the first tie-breaker by virtue of their win on November 15th. The two teams should both be prohibitive favorites entering week 15 action. Seattle travels to the nation's capitol to face the Washington Football Team (6-7) while the Rams will take on the same winless Jets team (0-13) at home. That will set-up a clash on Sunday, December 27 for, what appears to be, the division crown.

The Hawks currently hold the #5 seed in the NFC playoff picture as it takes shape, trailing the #1 Green Bay Packers, #2 New Orleans Saints and the #3 Washington Football Team (I prefer "Washington Team Football - W.T.F.).

A  couple of records were set along the way. Quarterback Russell Wilson tossed four touchdown passes to bring his total this year to 36 -- a career-high. Former Jet Jamal Adams became the NFL's all-time leader for Sacks by a defensive back in a season registering his 8.5 QB takedown in 2020. He took to his Twitter account following the win:
