Free Health and Resource Fair in Yakima Today (Friday, January 20th)
Let’s face it; it’s a tough place for everyone. For some, it’s financial. For others, it can be health. Whether that’s physical or mental health, very few people are not struggling in one way or another. It can be a rough road, but the best thing to remember is that you are not alone, we’re all in this life together, and there is help! Don’t be afraid to reach out and ask for it.
One event that’s happening that is striving to help people no matter their walk in life is the Free Health and Resource Fair. It’s brought to you by Yakima Pride, the Latino Community Fund Washington State, and the Yakima Health District.
When Is The Free Health And Resource Fair?
The fair will be happening on Friday, January 20th, from 1 pm to 6 pm at La Chateau, 15 N. Naches Ave. in Yakima, Washington. No appointment is needed. Just walk in. If you’re worried about insurance, don’t be. No insurance is required. There will be a second vaccine and follow-up clinic on Friday, February 10th.
What Will Be At The Free Health And Resource Fair?
Available health services will include rapid HIV / STI testing. COVID-19 bivalent booster does. MPOX (Monkeypox) vaccine. There will be snacks and beverages available, as well as music provided by Yakima Pride to help keep the event moving.
