By now, surely you've heard by now the viral tale of the lady who didn't want her date to take her to The Cheesecake Factory. She complained that it was a cheap date idea and she wanted to be C-O-U-R-T-E-D. In the date's defense, he says he had made reservations to treat them to a really nice (and expensive) dinner someplace else, but since she was over 1 hour late, they missed their reservations. His backup Plan B was to take her to The Cheesecake Factory.

After this story went viral on social media, many (broke) guys started complaining that women are always expecting them to take them to fancy dates. I have some ideas of where NOT to take a lady for your cheap date. These are the cheapest dates that I have been taken to, and now I'm kind of second-guessing why I ASS-umed the guys actually liked me if these were the dates they picked for us!

THE TOP 2 MOST ROMANTIC DATES I'VE EVER BEEN ON

Don't get me wrong, going to The Cheesecake Factory is a treat in itself; it's just that it's the kind of place a woman can go to anytime she likes--with family, girlfriends, co-workers, business meetings. There's nothing about The Cheesecake Factory that screams "ROMANCE!"

The top two most romantic dates I've ever been on was at the most expensive restaurant in town (Birchfield Manor) and a picnic date at a secluded winery (Wilridge Vineyard). Both of those dates cost the fellow a pretty penny, and they did not utter one complaint before, during, or after our date was over. Unfortunately, neither one of those relationships panned out, but I am still on friendly (and sadly, platonic) terms with both gentlemen. At least they knew how to woo and court a lady!

The top 2 cheapest dates I've ever been on should actually be called the top 9 cheapest dates. They were all had here in Washington, except for #10, which was in Vegas (and a very long story, ha).

7. MOVIE NIGHT (This was back when we only had DVDs, not streaming services to "Netflix & Chill")

8. HIS HOUSE

9. OLIVE GARDEN

10. Taco Bell Cantina (or any fast food chain, for that matter!)
