All in all, Yakima had a very nice summer.

Sure, it would get up to 100 degrees a few times, but there have been summers in the past where it would be 100 for days on end, sometimes a couple of weeks in the triple digits.

This year we've had a few days like that, but not as many which is good news for our crops and people who have trouble in the heat.

Looking at the weather forecast, it seems like our last 100 degree day was a few days ago with no signs of any more for the rest of the year.

When is the first day of Fall 2025?

We still have a way to go before the first day of autumn hits Yakima. The first day of fall is September 22, 2025.

That's fine, though. Builds upto calm, autumn days with that cool, crisp air. I can taste it already.

We'll still have days where temperatures are in the 90s. We're looking at highs in the upper 80s for the next week or so but come the end of next week, we'll have it back upto 90 or more.

Just probably not 100. At least it's not calling for that this far out.

In the meantime, enjoy what we have left of this summer.
