As we found out late yesterday, the Anytime Fitness Gym in Selah was levied a fine nearing $10,000 from the Washington State Department of Labor and Industries for defying Governor Inslee's "Safe Start" mandate. In response, a legal defense donation page has been established by Owner Wes Bradshaw at

In his description he states, "Any donations will be used towards legal fees as we appeal this unlawful fine (mandate is not a law) as well as any other costs that may be associated.  Again our goal is not to simply remain in business for money, but for the community we serve.  Without providing a safe and healthy atmosphere for our customers, we would not be here to begin with."

Since first going live yesterday (July 1) afternoon, the fundraiser has had nearly 100 donors chipping in just over $6,000 towards their $10k goal as of this writing (10:00 a.m., July 2).
