LEGOH-NO! Lego Toys Demands California Police to Stop Doing This Immediately
Southern California's Murrieta Police Department started using LEGO heads to hide the identities of people whose pictures were shared on social media in November of 2022.
It made for some comical mugshots and police lineups, but not everyone has a smile on their yellow faces, though.
I'm a huge LEGO fan.
I still have several sets of the building blocks from my childhood.
I've 100% most of the LEGO video games that have come out, and when they created LEGO Dimensions, I had almost every figure and level set.
I love those imagination building blocks of plastic, and it seems like one California police department shares my appreciation for them.
The law enforcement agency shared photos on their social media showing incidents in the public, but covered faces to honor their rights and identity protection.
Earlier this month, LEGO contacted the police department to ask them to refrain from using their intellectual property.
The police department understood and has since complied with Lego's request.
They are now brainstorming new ideas to continue their social media engagement.
I wonder who owns the rights to emojis and if that could be a quick solution to their identity crisis.
What are your thoughts on this story? Are the police having too much fun with this situation, or is LEGO in the right?
Or do you think LEGO should lighten up and let everyone have a laugh? Tap the App and let us know.
