Local Corn Is Here
Nothing better for the soul than watching your kids discover shucking fresh sweet corn with your mother.
Locally grown sweet corn is the best corn in the country if you talk to certain folks in the know.
Whether or not you believe local folklore, it is an interesting theory being passed around.
The same reasons the Yakima Valley is highly suited for wineries and hops make it great for corn too.
But corn grown by the glacial fed waters of certain surrounding areas is touted as the "secret ingredient" that lower valley corn just can't duplicate.
Now, I am not one to believe tall tales. Yet, after year after year of buying corn at a certain place, which is actually kind of small and out of the way, it is hard to deny the sweet taste.
