Northwest Harvest has for many years helped feed the hungry in Yakima by working with more than 7 area food banks to stock the shelves and feed people. But its not just Yakima where Northwest Harvest makes a big impact. The organization supports a statewide network of 375 food banks, meal programs and what they call high need schools.Northwest Harvest however doesn't help the Yakima Union Gospel Mission because of the hiring practices at the mission.

It does help more than 50 organizations in the Yakima area that help feed the homeless. The Yakima Union Gospel Mission relies on donations from the public to help feed the hundreds of needy people they see everyday. If you would like to help the mission check the website at yugm.org.
