MLK Peace March In Yakima Today

The 29th annual Peace March in remembrance of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. will be held today beginning at noon.
The parade route starts at 5th Ave. and M.L.K. Blvd. in Yakima and will head east.

Grand marshal Rev. Juliet Hemphill will guide the march south on 8th St. winding up at the Yakima Convention Center on the corner of Yakima Avenue, concluding with a presentation.

A free lunch will be served beginning at 2:00 P.M. at the Southeast Community Center at 1211 So. 7th St.

Approximately 1,000 marchers are expected to attend.
