Many people believe human or child trafficking only happens in the large cities and not in Washington State. Yakima Police say if that's what you think you're wrong. It happens in small cities like Yakima or Wapato, or Toppenish. Eric Neumeyer is very concerned about the problem. He's the Selah Police Department Chaplain and he was part of a anti-trafficking rally in Selah on Thursday.
Nuemeyer says "I have a heart for kids and how they should remain innocent and be protected by adults not fall victim to them." Rallies were held in both Selah and Yakima.
Thursday's events were part of World Day Against Human Trafficking and the rallies were organized by officials with Operation Underground Railroad, an anti-trafficking organization.
