Shred & Meds Take Back Day THIS SATURDAY!
In case you missed the last announcement, time is quickly approaching to properly dispose of the stuff, that you really don't want having around the house or the garbage. Important documents and expired medication! Shred & Med Take Back Day will be happening this Saturday, October 23rd! This free event will be taking place between 9am till 1pm at The Valley Mall in the south west corner parking lot by Sears (2529 Main Street Union Gap).
Who is putting this on & why?
The event is put on by Crime Stoppers & looks to help combat & prevent identity theft by shredding documents (bills / sensitive documents / tax forms / personal items). They are also offering a free way to safety dispose of your old prescription drugs and old medicine, helping prevent it from going back into the community and schools. Shredding material is limited to two banker boxes or three shopping bags of personal items per drop off. No limit on RX drugs you can dispose of. Just please make sure that the shred & medications are properly separated.
How Much Does It Cost?
This event is free, but donations are welcome! All donations will go to support the organization's expenses as well as future reward funds. It takes a lot of help to make this event a success. Crime Stoppers wish to thank their sponsors at Valley Mall, Yakima County Sheriff's Department, CI Shred, Pacific NW University of Health Sciences, the Yakima Police Department & Leonard Rickey Investment Advisors.
