Staff members with the Schauinsland-Reisen travel agency used thousands of tons of sand to build the structure, which stood 54-feet, 9-inches tall. It took them a week to haul the sand using nearly 170 trucks and over a month to complete. Guinness World Records confirmed the agency beat the previous record by over six feet. The enormous sandcastle is intricately decorated with images of tourist attractions from around the world, including Athens' Acropolis, Barcelona's Sagrada Familia and the Leaning Tower of Pisa.
Hope you had a great summer!
