Tower Records, an iconic piece of my childhood and young adult life, is rising up like the ashes of a phoenix to launch an online-only store.

There have been some cool things in the past to memorialize the passing of a loved one, but now comes the ultimate swan song item. As a radio broadcaster, I'd love to be immortalized on vinyl after I pass and now it's possible ... your ashes can be pressed into a record album.

Listening to music on a record player has gone on the way side. I still love keeping my vinyl because it is so much fun to look at. Most of my cool looking records I have hung up on my wall.
