Video Game Multiplayer Classic, Goldeneye, is Finally Returning to Switch and Xbox

There was an announcement this morning that rocked the souls of so many gamers who stayed up late with friends, eating pizza, drinking Mountain Dew and battling each other until the sun came up. Rare LTD announced Goldeneye was coming to Nintendo Switch and Xbox soon.

Shortly thereafter Rare LTD posted that this game would also be available on Xbox via Game Pass. The Xbox version will be 4K, the full 16:9 aspect ratio (N64 is the old tv 4:3 ratio) and local split-screen mode. There doesn't seem to be the option to play versus others online.

Many have been wanting this for years and most didn't think it'd be possible for licensing reasons but they made it work.

It only says 'coming soon' so not sure if an exact release date but soon as it does I'll be taking a sick day to relive the magic.
