Voodoo Is Coming To Seattle! 5 Reasons It’ll Fit Right In!
News just broke that Seattle is getting a Voodoo Doughnuts location, and this announcement is long overdue! Puget Sound Business Journal dropped word last week that Seattle’s Capitol Hill will soon be a new home to one of the most delicious and weirdest chains!
There are no details about when the new location at the Booker Building (Corner of Pine Street & Minor Ave.) will open, but the sooner, the better! It’ll fit right in with the other oddities that Seattle has to offer!
5 Reasons Voodoo Doughnuts Fits Right In With Seattle!
#5 Ye Olde Curiosity Shop
The Ye Olde Curiosity Shop (Pier 54, 1001 Alaskan Wy) is an oddity in many ways. You walk in and are surrounded by the uncanny, and it’s fantastic. Much like when you’re trying to decide which weird doughnut you want to stuff in your face!
#4 Hat ‘N’ Boots!
Big Ass Hat ‘N’ Boots (6427 Carleton Ave S in Oxbow Park in Georgetown)! You probably saw it in National Lampoon’s Vacation, but this location (which used to be a gas station) is actually in Seattle. I can see a Hat ‘N’ Boots-inspired concoction from Voodoo!
#3 Fremont Troll
If you’re one of the few who do not know about the Fremont Troll (North 36th Street, Troll Ave N), then just know there’s a giant freakin’ troll underneath the Aurora Bridge! Only time will tell when Voodoo Doughnuts will release its Seattle Signature ‘Troll Bar.’

#2 Gum Wall
Don’t get stuck to The Gum Wall (1428 Post Alley) when walking by. It’s disgustingly awesome, and as long as the gum doesn’t come FROM the actual wall, why not use it in your new doughnut shop?
#1 The People!
Sure, Portland may have the “Weird” when it comes to city motos, but pound for pound, Seattle’s population can top it, especially for their desire and appreciation of the weird and deliciousness that Voodoo Doughnuts will bring to the city!
