The courting process, as many know, is meant to get to know each other.

When I first started courting my wife, we talked a lot, as you do.

Telling each other about our pasts, our current situations, and hopes for the future, as you do.

My wife is half Japanese, so, being the curious fellow I am, I asked my potential girlfriend, future wife, IF she knew martial arts.

"You don't want to find out!" Was my future wife's answer, leading me to believe that she was proficient in Bruce Lee style butt-kicking!

Honesty Survey In Dating Apps & Websites

The survey was conducted among 3,000 people who claimed to be single, asking about dating profiles and their honest traits when using them.

The people taking the survey were asked how honest they felt their potential matches were when they finally met up. Jobs, appearance, personality, etc. were all questioned.

The national average score was 5.1 out of 10. Not great, 50/50. Sadly, it appears Washington has more deceitful singles out there in the dating world, with a 4.1 out of 10, so it is below the national average.

Luckily, we're not as bad as New York, which has an honesty score of 3.4.

WHAT WERE THE LIES TOLD?

So, where did most of the dishonesty fall?

Sadly, 32% was in the 'Relationship Status' category, in other words, you're trying to date someone who is already involved in a relationship, and 1/3 of people out there are being dishonest to multiple people.

Age also ranked up there at 30%, with actual appearance at 22%.

Weirdly, to me, job/career was surveyed as the least thing lied about at only 2%.
