Washington Ranks in Top 10 for Best States for Women
If you're a woman in Washington state you're in a better place than most states out there.
WalletHub looked at women's economic and social wellbeing as well as health care and safety and found that Washington state ranked 9th in the best place for women to live. Not bad considering all the other states that didn't even crack the top 10.
Massachusetts, Minnesota, and New York all ranked top three to be.
Last place belongs to Oklahoma. Sorry, y'all.
I think it's fun insight when they look at these stats and statistics to discover what other states are doing in comparison to others. So often when it comes to safety and quality of life Washington seems to rank pretty well on most lists and I'd love to keep it that way. Sure, Washington may rarely come in the first place, however, that may give us something to strive for and make a conscious effort to do better next time for ourselves and our future families for generations to come.
I can't imagine what it's like to be a woman in today's society and all that comes with that in public and work places a like but seeing that we were ranked 9th place out of 51 (counting Washington DC as its own 'state') it does give hope.
