The Yakima Airport at McAllister Field (YKM), in compliance with the statewide order to wear a facemask that went into effect today, said it will provide more than 12,000 masks to airport tenants, passengers and visitors at no cost.

In a press release issued today (June 26) the City of Yakima announced that it has received 6,500 cloth masks from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and will also be getting another 6,000 more from Sea-Tac.

There has been a recent uptick in travel which precipitates this need. The airport will also set up free hand sanitizing stations next to the mask locations.
