Meet Yakima’s Local Authors at These Upcoming Book Fairs

What a great time to be a book reader in Washington! Not only do we have several amazing local authors who call the Pacific Northwest home, but many of these up-and-coming writers call the Yakima Valley their home!

How Well Do You Know Your Neighbor?

Yeah, your neighbor could be the person behind the pen name of some of your favorite books! Luckily, many of these authors have no problem with getting out in public, meeting their fans and fans of literature. Talk shop, give advice, and all and all, ‘nerd out’ about the love of reading and writing. And there are a couple Author fairs coming up that will allow you to do just that!

Author Fair @ The Harmon Center in Yakima

Besides holding Yoga classes, computer workshops, holiday bazaars, and other special events, the Yakima Harmon Center, located at 101 N. 65th Ave., has a Local Author Book Fair coming up on Saturday, September 12th from 10 am to 2 pm.

The Author Fair & Market @ Encore Books in Yakima

On Sunday, October 4th, Encore Books, located at 415 W. Walnut Street, will be having its next Author Fair & Market. Complete with food and craft vendors, as well as some of Yakima Valley’s favorite local authors like Audrey J. Cole, Derek Wachter, Victor Kusske, El Roff, and Kasey Safford (to name a few).
